Configuration

  1. Download and install the WPML plugin for your WordPress site.

  2. Get your LILT API key.

  3. Activate LILT from within the WPML Translation Services page using your LILT API key.

For more detailed information, see WPML's set up and usage guide.

Workflow

Once the connector is configured, content is moved between LILT and WordPress as outlined in the sections below.

For more detailed information, see WPML's set up and usage guide.

Project creation

  1. Navigate to the WPML Translation Dashboard page within your WordPress site.

  2. Select the posts/pages you want translated, select the target languages, and add the items to the translation basket.

  3. On the Translation Basket page, send the content to LILT.

  4. Once sent, LILT will create Projects for each of the posts/pages (and languages).

Project completion

Once a Project is completed in LILT, follow these steps to manually pull the localized content into WordPress:

  1. Navigate to the WPML Translation Dashboard page within your WordPress site.

  2. Click the Check status and get translations button to update the status of translation jobs and pull the content of completed LILT Projects into WordPress.

Once content has been pulled from LILT to WordPress, you can navigate to the Translation Jobs page to check the status of all your translation jobs. For jobs that have been completed, you can then review and publish the content.
