Magento2 <> LILT Plugin

Overview

The Megento2 <> LILT plugin allows you to do the following without leaving Magento2:
  • Easily send products to LILT for translation
  • Track the status of your translations
  • Publish orders

General Workflow

  1. Create a new order from the LILT plugin
  2. Select Products
  3. Choose target locales & the desired workflow
  4. Send for translation
  5. Publish translations

Create a new order from the LILT Plugin

  1. Open the Orders section of the LILT plugin.
  2. Click Translate to create a new order.
💡Each order needs to have one product, one target locale at a minimum, and a translation workflow. Orders are often used for large projects like, “I want to translate all of my blogs to Korean.” So orders are generally translated, reviewed and published in batches.
  3. Give the Order a name and select resources.

Select Products

  1. Give the Order a name and select resources.

Choose target locales & the desired workflow

  1. The Source site should be the default language for your source text. In most cases you’re translating from an English source site to a Non-English target site (e.g. English → German) so you won’t need to change this.
  2. Choose one or more Target sites.
💡The list of Target sites come from the LILT API configuration, not from the LILT Plugin. If you’d like to add new Target sites, contact LILT.
  3. Choose a translation workflow.
💡There are 2 workflows: Instant and Verified

Instant: Provides fast machine translation of your source site. This can be used for situations where you need to get a lot of pages translated quickly.

Verified: Uses LILT’s team of linguists to provide a high-quality translation of your source site. This can be used as a follow up to machine translation, or for situations where you want a high quality translation from the beginning.

Send for Translation

  1. When you’re ready to send content to LILT for translation, click the Submit for translation button.
  2. The Order status will update to In progress and each entry on the Translations tab will have an Sent status as well.
  3. As soon as the order is Sent or In Progress, no further action is needed.

Publish Translations

  1. When all of the translations are reviewed, you’ll receive a notification that the review is complete, and the order status will automatically change to Delivered.
  2. To publish the order, click the Import button.
  3. When the translations are published, you’ll receive a Order Imported notification.
