This article describes the minimum system requirements for using Lilt.
Lilt is a cloud-based software. Once Lilt is installed by your systems administrator (or an account is provided to you on lilt.com), translators can simply log in to Lilt using the browser to start translating.
The majority of Lilt's features are operating system agnostic; however, users must fulfill the browser, hardware, and network requirements listed in this article.
Lilt is supported on the minimum version (and newer versions) of the browsers listed below.
|Browser||Minimum version supported|
For security and performance reasons, we strongly recommend running the latest browser version.
Lilt runs best on systems with at least:
- 1.9 gigahertz (GHz) x86- or x64-bit dual-core processor with SSE2 instruction set.
- 2 GB of RAM (4 GB recommended).
- Display resolution of at least 1024 x 768.
Additionally, Lilt can be run on the newer models of Android tablets and iPads.
A stable, fast internet connection is essential for using Lilt Translate, at minimum with:
- Bandwidth greater than 50 Kbps (400 Kbps).
- Latency under 150 ms.
Lilt Translate does not cache work during connection outages. To determine what has been saved, reload Lilt Translate after restoration of the connection.
