This article goes over the actions you can perform on single documents. To see how to perform actions on multiple documents at once, see the Bulk Document Actions article.
Clicking on the name of a document brings you to the document editor with either the translator or reviewer interface (depending on your role).
Clicking on one of the four action buttons allows you to perform actions for the document:
- Translate: Brings you to the editor with the translator interface.
- Review: Brings you to the editor with the reviewer interface.
- Assign: Allows you to assign a translator or reviewer to the document. This is explained further in the sections below.
- Document options: Allows you to choose from several additional document actions: pretranslate, download, download TXT, download XLIFF, and delete. These are explained further in the sections below.
The circular progress bar next to each document indicates how much of the document has been translated (gray bar) and how much of the document has been reviewed (green bar).
Once a document has been uploaded, you can click on the Expand button to open up a detailed view of the document.
Alternatively, you can click on the Expand All Document Details button to expand the details for all documents within the project.
Assigning document tasks
Once a document has been uploaded, project managers can assign a translator or reviewer to the document by clicking the assign button . You can also optionally set due dates for translators and reviewers. Once you have selected a translator or reviewer, clicking the Assign button will assign them to the document and they will be sent an email from firstname.lastname@example.org letting them know they have been assigned so they can accept or reject the assignment.
When both a translator and reviewer are assigned to a document, you will see a checkmark next to the document.
Under the Document Options dropdown, you have the option to pretranslate documents. More information on pretranslating can be found in these articles:
Under the Document Options dropdown, there are several options for downloading a document.
- Download: Downloads the original document.
- Download TXT: Downloads the document as a TXT file.
- Download XLIFF: Downloads the document as an XLIFF file.
Under the Document Options dropdown, you have the option to delete a document. Clicking this button will bring up a popup box to confirm that you want to permanently delete the document.
When none of the documents are selected, you have several options available to filter which documents are shown. Filtering documents lets you quickly get to the documents that need your attention.
The Translator and Reviewer filters let you display documents based on various translation and review statuses. If any translators or reviewers are assigned to documents in the project, their emails will show up in the filter lists.
The sort option gives you several methods to sort the documents within a project. By default, documents are sorted by name.
Once you have selected the sorting method, you can click the sort order button next to the sort list to change the sort order between ascending and descending.
