WPML WordPress

LILT + WPML WordPress connector enables companies to automatically push and pull web content between WordPress and LILT. This saves you time by providing seamless localization while letting you continue to work in the systems you know.

Here's a step-by-step guide on connecting your WordPress site to LILT using WPML.

Configuration

  1. Download and install the WPML plugin on your WordPress site.

  2. Get your LILT API key.

  3. In your site's admin, go to WPML → Translation Management → Translators and find LILT in the list of available Translation Management Systems. Click to activate it, then click the Authenticate button and enter your LILT API key.

For more detailed information, see WPML's set up and usage guide.

Workflow

Once the connector is configured, content is moved between LILT and WordPress as outlined in the sections below.

Project creation

  1. In your WordPress site, go to the WPML → Translation Management page and select the posts and pages you want translated

  1.  Select Assign translation service as the translation method and set the batch name and deadline if needed.

  2. Click the Translate button to send content to LILT for translation.

Project completion

Once a Project is completed in LILT, follow these steps to manually pull the localized content into WordPress:

  1. On your site, go to WPML → Translation Management page.

  2. Click the Check status and get translations button to update the status of translation jobs and pull the content of completed LILT Projects into WordPress.

Once content has been pulled from LILT into WordPress, you can navigate to the Translation Jobs page to check the status of all your translation jobs. For jobs that have been completed, you can then review and publish the content.
