The S3 connector enables you to sync and manage translation files between your Amazon S3 storage and LILT platform. This connector provides real-time translation and localization support for your stored content, making it easy to manage multilingual content at scale.During the process of onboarding a new client, LILT will help identify whether the AWS S3 integration can be used. If it can be used, LILT will set up the S3 integration for the client. From the client, we will utilize the following information:
S3 Access Key ID
S3 Secret Access Key
S3 Region
S3 Bucket name
For enhanced security, LILT can also connect to your S3 bucket using an IAM User account. This avoids needing to share your Access Key ID and Secret Access Key.Alternatively, the client can provide SFTP access to the bucket through the SSH key. LILT will organize this configuration with the client.
LILT periodically checks for new content on S3. When new content is detected, LILT Projects are automatically created for the content to be translated.
LILT periodically checks for completed LILT Projects. Completed Project content is automatically pushed back to S3 into the buckets specified during configuration.
Question: How often does LILT check for new content?Answer: LILT periodically checks for new content and completed Projects. The frequency is determined during setup and can be as frequent as every 15 minutes.Question: What file formats does the S3 connector support?Answer: LILT will only import supported files for translation; it will ignore unsupported file formats.
