Inriver PIM is a Product Information Management platform that serves as a single source of truth for brands, manufacturers, and retailers to centralize, structure, and enrich their product data.

Overview

Once all configuration parameters are set, the connector will be able to:
  • Browse and select Inriver product entities, product types, folders, and fields directly in the LILT job creation page.
  • Choose which product attributes to translate, such as names, descriptions, specifications, and other custom fields.
  • Create translation jobs from Inriver content using LILT’s standard job setup options, including target languages, due dates, priorities, and workflow settings.
  • Save reusable job creation templates for common product groups, field selections, or market/language configurations.
  • Translate and review Inriver content in LILT while preserving product structure, field context, formatting, and relationships.
  • Track translation progress, sync status, and errors from within LILT, with clear guidance when imports or exports fail.
  • Automatically send completed translations back to the correct Inriver fields, with support for draft or published delivery based on your configuration.

Configuration

  1. Starting at the LILT homepage as an Administrator, navigate to Manage and then click Connectors.
  2. Select Inriver.
    1. If Inriver is not selectable, contact your LILT Solutions Architect for help.
  3. In Setup, enter your Inriver instance URL and API Key.
  4. Click Test Connection.
    1. If the connection test fails, contact your LILT Solutions Architect for help.
  5. Save the configuration.

Marking Fields as “Do Not Translate”

The connector is built to support your custom data structures in Inriver. If your product data in Inriver contains fields that should not be translated, contact your LILT Solutions Architect to configure these fields. Any fields marked as “Do Not Translate” will be omitted from translation jobs created through the connector and will remain unchanged when finished translations are synced back to the Inriver system.

Creating Jobs with the Inriver Connector

Once the connector is live, you can create jobs from Inriver directly in the LILT Job Creation page. Clicking the Inriver icon in the file upload box will open a sidebar where you can browse, search, and filter your Inriver content and select files for translation. Finished translations will automatically be delivered back to Inriver.
